The vast majority of our products are manufactuired to order in China. Lanyards are made from bales of material; badges and keychains from strip metal, etc. But one thing they all have in common is labour. All products have a very high labour content, so, to make something more quickly requires more people. More people = more cost.

Another major factor in the cost of any item is the freight element from China. Products produced on a standard 4 week lead-time are bulked together at one central point, bringing together work from several manufacturing partners and this is shipped as a single airfreight consignment. This gives us ( and you) the cheapest method (per item) to ship goods out of China.  We bring 2 consolidated shipments out of China each week.

Items that need to be delivered more quickly can’t benefit from this consolidation - particularly those orders based on a 2 week delivery. These orders need to be shipped to the UK as soon as they are ready. So they are consigned individually on door-to-door carriers (such as DHL, UPS or Fed-Ex). These are much faster services than Airfreight, with the goods arriving at the final destination in the UK in 3-4 days.  The drawback is they are much more expensive - typically 3-4 times per kg more!!!!

Pinbadge are unique in offering metal trolley coins using 2 different methods of production. If budget is the key - then choose Die Stamped. These are great where the thickness of the coin is not critical in working the mechanism - so they’re ideal for supermarket trolleys. If, however, coin thickness is crucial, then we recommed Alloy Injection. This production method creates a consistent thickness time after time.

We also make them out of recycled metals for the environmentally concous user.

Both types can be infilled in enamel on one or both sides. Alternatively, if the design does not lend itself to enamelling, then, in Alloy Injection, we offer a printed version. To prevent scratching to the print surface, the design is printed onto a sticker which is then positioned in a recess in the metal part of the coin.

As an alternative to metal, we also offer a lightweight plastic version. Available with either a circular or rectangular holder, the coin and the holder can be Pantone dyed and both can be silk screen printed.
